Hi, I am Sebastian Andrew Makoye, a web developer. By the time I write this bio, I have gained 4 years of experience in coding, contributing in coders community, and building responsive and beautiful websites and web applications.
Since my childhood, I have always been fascinated with computers. I remember spending a lot of time with my dad’s home computer which was running Ms-dos with Win 3.0 and application programs such as WordPerfect and Lotus 1-2-3 discontinued spreadsheet application.
I loved making directory trees with Ms-dos md command which was directory and sub-directories. I know I sound old school, but there is where everything started.
During that time, I was asking myself how things exactly work inside the computer, and how I can do more than just creating files and folders!
That made me joining different short courses such as hardware and software troubleshoot, of which was just learning few error code numbers of win 3.0, installing windows from Ms-dos and error codes for hardware failure.
That fueled my curiosity and desire to know more. Sadly, I could not fulfill my desire at that time because of various family problems.
However, as everyone knows in life, the thing you love cannot leave your head even after many years, and that's what happened to me.
My curiosity and desire to know more took me in coding learning path.
I tried my best to spend my free time learning how to code, starting with markup languages like HTML and style sheet language that defines the presentation of other markup languages CSS, and then moving on more complicated languages like JavaScript with its libraries, Python, and PHP. I did my best to spend my leisure time programming, constructing websites, and experimenting with various coding projects.
I rapidly learned what I had been wanting to for years thanks to my passion and dedication, and I continue to be eager to learn more and keep up with emerging web technology.
Apart from being a web developer, I also blog frequently as I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience.
